Well, it's since a while I submitted something here. I'm very busy these days, and my drawings are suffering because that. But I finally finished the lineart of Manwë (expect for the eagles). I hope soon it will be colored and with proper background. It was specially dificult to do a face that I liked and to creat the scepter.

I did a color and light study. I hope it is just right and I can, when I have some time, finish it.

New color. Now just some minor changes and I'll be ready go to the background.

Added some details in the cloth, the background and the eagles. Almost done now and very close to what I imagined.

I think it's really awesome! It's very majestic, and solemn. The sceptre, I think, it's the best in the drawing. Hope to see it finished soon, welcome back! ^_^

As I thought looking on the thumb - very good :thumbsup: Still I think you might finish both visions. I especially like the light on his clothes on the first concept. Great ideas, can't wait to see it finished :D

Though one thing - if you want it to be pasted on such background merge the layers together, perhaps put the image layer in multiply mode, so the paper texture will get into the drawing.

Oh, and add a little bit more space under his feet for a better composition.Not too much, just a little to get rid of the feeling his feet are cut.

Thank you for the tips! The final version will not have this old paper background, but a sunset sky and some eagles (I hope :lol:). Now I'm trying very differents methods of coloring in photoshop and a way of the mix the first concept with this one.
